WEC International

Jim & Mirjam McWhinnie work with WEC International. They are part of a team of 16 who work in the WEC Swiss Base in Ruti, south of Zurich.

WEC in Switzerland works with God’s people to motivate, send and support workers for worldwide service for Jesus. At present there are 100 Swiss WECers active in Europe, America, Africa and Asia.

Jim & Mirjam have served with WEC for 40 and 33 years respectively. For the last 27 years they have been based at the Swiss Headquarters.

Mirjam is involved with others of the team in public relations for WEC within Switzerland. We often picture this work like a link in a chain – for some folks we are their first link as they consider serving God in another capacity, for others a link in the process as they seek to find out what God has for them and yet others the final link as they move into service for God.

Since 2008 Jim has chiefly been doing computer support at the base as well as for our workers when they are on home leave. He also helps workers overseas via the Internet.

Fiona and Craig are working as a child carer and in a hotel respectively.
