OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD 

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to show God’s love to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Since 1990, more than 157 million children in over 160 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox packed with gifts from Operation Christmas Child.

These small shoeboxes can have a big impact. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out of it is eternal.After receiving a shoebox gift, children have the opportunity to enrol in The Greatest Journey - 12 fun and interactive Bible lessons, where they get the chance to discover who Jesus is and how to begin their own journey of faith. Operation Christmas Child is an initiative of Samaritan's Purse.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD 2021​
KCOG is once again participating in the Operation Christmas Child campaign. 

• Shoeboxes will be available soon at the church (contact David McWhinnie)  and can either be collected from his house or he can arrange to drop off.
• Details of how to pack a shoebox  can be found here in the OCC website 
• Shoeboxes must be returned to the church during National Collection Week 15-22 November 2021.  (see details below)

Week of Prayer: 18 - 22 October 2021
The foundation of Operation Christmas Child is prayer and we invite you to join with us during this week in prayer for all aspects of this year's OCC campaign.

National Collection Week: 15-22 November 2021
KCOG is being used as a collection centre this year. The church will be open on the following times for shoeboxes to be handed in:

Wednesday 17 November   11.00 - 12.00
Thursday 18 November        6.30 - 7.30
Friday 19 November             11.00 - 12.00
