It's a relaxed environment with the chance to meet other jobseekers, get support, and gain the tools you need to find work. Whether you've been unemployed for a short time several years, or you are yet to enter employment, we will help you to create a plan that works for you. Our unique mix of a practical course, one-to.one coaching and a supportive group mean that you will find the support you need at Cap Job Club. CAP JOB CLUB is an initiative from award-winning, international charity, Christians Against Poverty (CAP).
CAP began as a debt counselling charity in 1996 and now offers debt help, as well as financial education and support with unemployment and addictions to over 38,000 people every year. CAP Job Clubs provide a place of trust and security to help support motivated jobseekers through some of the trials and challenges of unemployment.
CAP Job Clubs equip their members with practical tools to find work and help them expand their work-related networks.
A CAP Job Club is run by trained volunteers, who understand the challenges faced when looking for work. It offers one-to-one coaching, as well as group learning, through an eight-session ‘Steps to Employment’ course that takes members through each step of the job hunting process. Some of the topics covered in the course are;
