KCOG Missions
We take an active interest in missions both in this country and abroad. As a church we help them with regular financial help and for specific needs as they arise. Below are details of the missions we support.
|
In 1920, Matthew Sinclair of Kilsyth, Scotland, answered a divine call to missionary work in Sierra Leone. Encouraged by church leader William Hutchison, he founded the United Pentecostal Mission.
From the 1950's to the mid 1990's, the Maranatha Pentecostal Mission (MPM) thrived with Scottish church support. However, the 1994 civil war led to a leadership transition to local pastors. Kilsyth Church of God are joining with Comfort International and other churches to reconnect with MPM; to encourage, strengthen and support them in reaching out to the broken and poor of their communities. |
Kilsyth Community Food BankKCFB is a registered charity organisation committed to the provision of emergency food relief to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship.
As a church we value the work of other organisations within the community and look to partner with and support them as they meet important needs. |
