Greetings from Valencia where the sun is shining brightly. We have just enjoyed a cup of tea and a delicious cake beside the swimming pool at the pastor's home..!
We were invited to minister at a week of meetings celebrating the 42nd anniversary of the AOG Church in downtown Valencia. The meetings are being blessed of God and many have responded to the preaching of the Word. More than 400 were gathered for the Sunday Special Service - which started at 11.30 am and finished at 2.30 pm..! Pastor Francisco Pena said that between 70 and 80 responded to the Gospel invitation - some for salvation, some seeking a healing touch from the Saviour's loving hands - while others called on the Lord for His help in difficult circumstances. It was thrilling to be there. Then everyone enjoyed some delicious food from 10 different countries served in the spacious 'upper room' dining area which can comfortably accommodate up to 500 - complete with a thoroughly modern kitchen..!
The congregation is composed mainly of 'Latinos' who have come to Spain over a number of years. They worship the Lord enthusiastically. The lively singing is accompanied by an energetic orchestra composed of Spanish guitars, keyboards and drums. There really is a joyful noise..!
Next week we'll be with our old friends British missionaries Frank and Carol Ford. Meetings will be held in Castellan, Villarreal and Oropesa. We greatly value your prayers that the Lord will be pleased to bless His Word - that souls will be saved and God's People blessed.
That's about all for now.
Every Blessing,
Ken and Jocelyne.
